Baby Monday: Hon Bunmi Tunji-Ojo Clears Medical Bills Of Preterm Baby

Do you remember Baby Monday, the preterm baby weighing 1 kilogram at birth which The Precision NG reportedly needs financial assistance from well meaning Nigerians?

After coming across the report, the federal lawmaker representing Akoko Northeast and Northwest constituencies in the House of representatives, Honorable Bunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO) has come to the assistance of the baby and his parents, clearing the medical bills which has held them at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital Complex, Akure (UNIMEDTHC) for over 30 weeks.

The Precision NG gathered that the baby has been discharged and cleared fit by the management of the facility but could not go home because of his medical bills which has not been paid.

BTO, the Chairman House Committee on NDDC happens to be one of the good Nigerians that read about the story of the baby and he obliged to clear his medical bills and also empower the parents with cash gift that would enable them take care of the baby after being discharged.

The mother of the baby, Mrs Blessing Emmanuel who confirmed the payment of her baby’s medical bills and the cash gift, thanked Hon. Tunji-Ojo for the gesture, praying that God will continue to take him to greater heights.

She also confirmed that the baby now suck the breast himself, thanking God for the role The Precision NG played in ensuring that their bills get paid.

One of the senior medical officials at the Neonatal Special Ward where the baby has been managed confirmed that the baby is now in good condition, while expressing appreciation to the federal lawmaker, Tunji-Ojo.

Honourable Tunji-Ojo is a first term representative at the lower chamber in Abuja and has been engaging in a lot of humanitarian gesture even before his election to represent the good people of Akoko.

In his four months at the Green chamber, he has facilitated the reconstruction of some tangible roads in the constituencies that have long been abandoned.
