The representative of Akure South Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Simeon Toluwani Borokini has called for collective efforts of all sectors in the country as the only veritable tool in ridding the system off corruption and malpractices.

This assertion was made while addressing a congregation on Christianity and Politics during the first session of the fourth Synod at the Cathedral of St Paul, Diocese of Omu Aran, Kwara State.

Hon Borokini enunciated reasons for a synergy between Religious groups and Politics, without leaving the political business to certain factions of the society.

He maintained that for sanity to be restored to the political system and for meaningful restructuring in the country, there’s need for individuals to live above mere condemnation and unhealthy criticisms but to contribute reasonably in any capacity they occupy in the society so that our vison for a greater Nigeria won’t die in the dreamland.

The Bishop of the Diocese, Rt Revd. Festus Sobanke on behalf of the congregation appreciated the lawmaker for adding colour to the event and commended the humility with which he has been directing the affairs of his office.
