Reacting to the comment by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over the use of Amotekun operatives by the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to intimidate the people in the last APC Primaries held in Owo, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Ojo Oyewamide says the PDP should be sympathised with for playing lazy opposition.

According to the statement, Amotekun is yet to take off, let alone using it in the APC Primaries to intimidate people as alleged by the PDP.

“this is most unfortunate and paints in clear terms the PDP in the most unserious and intellectually immobile manner as a political party,” the statement read.

PDP’S JUVENILE PARADE OVER APC LG PRIMARIES

This is to draw the attention of the public, especially members of the APC in the State to the mischief being plotted by the opposition PDP in the aftermath of the recent local government primaries of the APC.

In the plot which is considered in most strong terms, highly pedestrian and juvenile, the PDP is drawing the perception that Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN was deeply involved in the primary exercises across the State, and most especially in Owo local government.

The party has mindlessly hatched a media spin to depict an imaginary picture of the use AMOTEKUN by the Governor to scuttle the exercise in Owo local government in particular.

This is most unfortunate and paints in clear terms the PDP in the most unserious and intellectually immobile manner as a political party.

The PDP is very unkind to itself to allude to the use of AMOTEKUN that had yet taken off. This is lazy opposition at work again.

It is pertinent to reiterate that Governor Akeredolu had weeks before the exercise, pointedly told stakeholders that he will not impose nor interfere in the process that is intended to produce candidates for the forthcoming local government election in the State.
