The Ondo State House of Assembly has urged residents of Akure the Ondo State capital to exercise caution and be calm as investigations continues to know the details of what actually led to the explosion that rocked the city in the early morning today.
Speaker of the House Rt. Honourable Bamidele David Oleyelogun spoke when he led other members to the scene of the explosion on Owo road Akure.
Oleyelogun said efforts are on to resolve problems that emanated from the explosion adding that government would do everything possible to reduce the burden on affected residents of the area.

The Speaker enjoined the State Commissioner of Police and all other Security Operatives to swing into action and get to the root of the matter.
Reports say a security convoy carrying explosives caught fire causing havoc to people in the area.
Several houses collapsed while the Akure-Owo road was demarcated by the explosion even as government is making efforts to secure an alternative route for commuters plying the road.
