President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation on Monday by8:00pm.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this.
“President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation Monday, April 27, 2020 at 8pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media stations are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast,” the statement said.
It is not clear whether the president will announce a total lockdown or not.
The Precision NG reports that Nigeria has recorded 91 new cases of COVID-19 as at Sunday, 27th April.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced on its verified twitter handle on Sunday night, that 43 of the new cases are in Lagos, eight in Sokoto, six in Taraba, five in Kaduna, five in Gombe, three in Ondo, three in FCT, three in Edo, three in Oyo, three in Rivers, three in Bauchi, two in Osun, one in Akwa Ibom, one in Bayelsa, one in Ebonyi, one in Kebbi
With the above, Nigeria has 1273 cases of COVID-19 with 40 deaths and 239 discharged.
One case previously reported in Lagos, is now an Ondo State case
According to NCDC, “The total number of confirmed cases in Lagos is 731, and eight in Ondo”
