In response to public outcry of the devastating effect of Federal Government stay at home order and as part of his humanitarian services, Hon Simeon Toluwani Borokini, member representing Akure South Constituency 1, has disbursed another set of palliatives to his constituents with focus on some widows, Ago Ireti residents and some vulnerables in Akure South Constituency 1.
The lawmaker who has not relented in cushioning the effects of the covid-19 pandemic on his constituents since its outbreak, has distributed another set of foodstuffs, comprising: Bags of rice, Beans, Semovita, Spaghetti, Salt and Noodles.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Grace Balogun commended the philanthropic acts of the lawmaker since his assumption of office, for always extending his generosity to the widows, the vulnerables, the downtrodden and the constituents without bias.
It will be recalled that since the outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria and as the Government gave the stay at home directive, the lawmaker has sensitized his constituents during which he gave them Personal Protective Equipments, i.e. Sanitizers, nose masks and hand gloves. Also, he has been reaching out to his constituents through the provision of foodstuffs, cash gifts and other relief items. The first set was targeted towards the Wards’ Leaders and some community members.
Hon Borokini however promised not to relent in this bid and to reach out to more people in his constituency even though he cannot cater for all their needs but won’t relent in doing that which is within his capacity.
