Covid-19: 85 Deaths Recorded In Nigeria As Confirmed Cases Hit 2388

Latest data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as at May 2, 2020, reveals that deaths from the coronavirus in the country have jumped to 85.

The data also revealed that total confirmed cases now stood at 2,388.

Meanwhile, data released on Saturday night by the NCDC indicated that Nigeria has recorded 220 new cases of COVID-19.

According to the NCDC, 62 of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, 52 in FCT, 31 in Kaduna, 13 in Sokoto, 10 in Kebbi, 9 in Yobe, 6 in Borno, 5 in Edo.

Other are 5 in Bauchi, 4 each in Gombe, Oyo and Enugu, 3 in Zamfara, 2 each in Nasarawa, Osun, Ebonyi, Kwara, Kano as well as Plateau

The total number of discharged patients stood at 385. The details below:

Over 3.4 million cases have been reported globally, while there have been more than 1 million recoveries.
