The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Candidate for Ondo West Constituency II, in the 2019 Ondo State House Assembly Election, Hon. Maxwell Adelosoye has reached out to people of his native community, Bagbe, in the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic which have affected various means of livelihood in the community.
About 500 individuals were provided with various food stuffs as palliatives to cushion the harsh effects on homes.
The beneficiaries couldn’t hide their joy at this kind gesture, they appreciated him for coming to their rescue during this critical time.
One of the beneficiaries Madam Akinsooto said “Despite the fact that the powers that be made sure the people’s candidates was not elected by harassing voters on Election Day, he didn’t turn his back at the people. I specially thank him as he kept showing he is a true son of the soil”
Hon. Maxwell Adelosoye while talking to newsmen said “We took our campaigns to all the communities in Ondo West Constituency II with a vision to improve the livelihood of our people, we were widely accepted by the people due to our Identity and crystal clear message. What happened on the Election Day is already in the past, We have moved past it, Our Priority now is to continue to look for ways to improve the livelihood of the Rural Communities where I hail from. I have made it a responsibility to keep reaching out to our people.”
He also added that “Charity begins at home, but it must not end there. Bagbe is my home community so we decided to start this program from here with a view to taking to other communities”.
Furthermore, the medical practitioner has set up a committee to identify 2000 vulnerable persons in the six wards of Ondo West Constituency 2, to receive the sum of 2,000 naira each as Palliative.
