Death is an inevitable end of every mortal. The ups and downs of life, the left and right struggles without doubt will come to an end in one day.
The angel of death had done one its favourite jobs amongst us. Ondo State had lost one of her illustrious and industrious sons in the person of the late Commissioner of Health, Dr. (Alhaji) AbdulWahab Adegbenro penultimate 2nd July 2020.
On behalf of the entire Muslim youths of Ondo State, the National Council of Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO), Ondo State Chapter hereby commiserates with the Sunshine State in general and the Muslim community in particular over the irreparable loss of one of our most active cabinet members, one of the pillars of Islam in the State and indeed one of the philanthropists who believed in the instrumentality of using ones professional carrier for humanity service as testified to by many.
Dr. AbdulWahab Adegbenro died on the course in believed in, that is service to humanity. In his bid to optimize the capacity of his office as number one health officer of the State, he exposed himself to a lot of health hazards on the frontline battle field for the State to be fully secured against the COVID-19 pandemic. In that war, the gallant officer lost his life.
It is our fervent prayer to God to overlook his shortcomings, forgive him and admit him into paradise. To the family members, friends and well-wishers, we pray Allah to give them fortitude to bear the loss. To the governing cabinet of Ondo State, we pray unto Allah to be with them all and safeguard them against any hazard that may come their way.
We are using this medium to call on the Executive Governor of Ondo State and his entire cabinet to use their positions to immortalize Dr. AbdulWahab Adegbenro’s name so that his death will not go in vain considering the circumstances that triggered his exit to eternity. A ‘gallant officer’ should not fall in vain.
On the closing note, may almighty Allah holds the cabinet for Mr. Governor and rid our world of diseases raving us including this COVID-19. Amin.
