The 2020-21 English Premier League (EPL) season will kick off on September 12, 2020.
It was also announced that the final round of matches will be held on May 23, 2021.
The EPL stakeholders, which consist of the 20 current clubs, reached the decision during a conference call after which a statement was released on Friday.

It also confirmed that the Championship, League One and League Two will start the same weekend.
The current campaign will come to an end on Sunday, July 26 — over two months later than scheduled after a 100-day shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Liverpool FC won the 2019/20 league for the first time since 1990.
