Yemi Akintomide, an Ondo state Journalist has berated an online publisher (name withheld) in the state for publishing a mischievous story against him.
Akintomide in a statement made available to The Precision NG on Saturday said it is a rude shock that such online publisher would report a comment he made on his Facebook profile as that of his principal and APC governorship aspirant, Jimi Odimayo.
The veteran journalist had on Thursday 16 July, made a personal observation about the choice of the APC national body to appoint Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello as the head of its primary election committee, but the online publisher took it and publish as that of his principal.

DISCLAIMER
July 18, 2020
I wish to bring to the notice of the general public that my Facebook post on Thursday 16 July, 2020 on the appointment of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State as the chairman of the 9-man Electoral Committee to conduct the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo State Governorship Primary poll slated for July 20 was my personal comment, and not in anyway or manner, formed or related to the opinion of my principal, PRINCE JIMI ODIMAYO or that of his campaign structure on Governor Yahaya Bello.
As a professional journalist of nearly two decades in practise, it came to me as a rude shock that any colleague in the pen profession could be so mischievous as to credit a mere short Facebook comment on my wall as a direct reaction of my principal on the subject matter.
I want to put it on record that as a citizen and stakeholder in Ondo State, I have my personal opinion and view on issues bothering on good governance, development and wellbeing of the state which are clearly distinctive from that of my principal.
Thank you for your understanding and anticipated support in the quest to make life abundantly livable and more pleasurable for the generality of Ondo State citizens.
Yours Truly,
Signed:
Yemi Akintomide
