Over 82 artisan groups have thrown their weight behind the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Mr Eyitayo Jegede SAN.

At a meeting held today at the State Party Secretariat, Alagbaka, Akure, the group led by their leader Engr. Daisi Komolafe said that they were ready to work for Mr. Eyitayo Jegede and massively vote for him come October 10, 2020, having seen the difference between governments run by PDP and the ones run by APC in Ondo State.

“We have seen marked differences in governments run by PDP and the ones run by APC. And we have seen that while PDP governments are people-oriented, that of APC is self centered” He noticed.

Speaking further, Engr. Komolafe who is the president of the Artisan groups said “We influence political direction in the State to a very large extent. Whoever we give our support to, will always carry the day. We have over 200,000 voter cards and we are ready to use them to vote for PDP candidate, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede. Engr Daisi Komolafe boasted.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs Bosede Daramola, a former NLC leader in the State, expressed the willingness and readiness of the groups to support the party’s candidate saying that artisans have been relegated to the background in the last three and a half years by the APC-led admnistration in the State.

“Artisan groups have not had it so rough like this in the State. They have been thrown into hunger in the last three and a half years. No invitation to any government programmes, not even on May Day celebration that they used to attend. They are left hungry”, the former labour leader lamented.

Arming her declarations with scriptural backing, Daramola said that the people will no longer give APC any chance to rule the State having rewarded them with hunger.

“APC may gather but its gathering is not of God. It shall surely fall before PDP come October 10, 2020”. Daramola declared.
