Juju maestro, Chief Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi says he is ready to remarry anytime as the companionship of a wife can’t be taken for granted.
Obey who was rumoured to have died recently, stated this why granting an exclusive interview to The Nation newspaper.
“Well, the companionship of a wife is a good thing. It is not against God’s rule. So, I am here, I can marry at any time; not just for the sake of marriage as it is, but for the sake of companionship, because what else do I want? I have children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. So I have been blessed. It is not like I am looking for a wife that would conceive babies. As long as I still have life, you will hear when the time for marriage comes”, he said.

The Precision NG recalled that Obey’s wife, Lady Evangelist Juliana died in 2011 at the age of 67 after a brief illness.
They were married in 1963.
Obey now 78, said in the interview that even as he’s longing to remarry, he can’t be married to a young lady.
He said he preferred to marry a woman of 60 and above as his reason for remarrying is strongly for companionship.
“Marry a young lady? It’s a foolish old man that will say he wants to marry a young lady. The young lady has just started her life and definitely is virile and strong. Someone like me should be thinking of a woman who is 60 or above. And when I do it soon, everyone will know.
Asked if he miss his late wife or see her in dreams, Chief Obey said “Of course, I do. I miss her all the time and have seen her in dreams so many times”.
