Distinguished Learned Silks, Amiable Seniors and Noble Colleagues,
My name is Omotola O. Odusola, the last born of Late Chief (Barr.) Ebun Elenujuni Odusola. I started and completed my primary education in Esther Kawe Memorial Nursery & Primary School. For my secondary education, I was in Stella Maris College, Okitipupa.
My ambition to become a legal practitioner took me to Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State where I bagged LL.B (Hon). Thereafter, I proceeded to the Nigerian Law School. I did my internship in the law office of Fola Adeyeye & Co, where I equally served as Research Assistant.
In the year 2011, I was called into the enviable Nigerian Bar!
After my mandatory national service in Nnewi, Anambra State, I cut my teeth in practical and pragmatic legal practice in the law firm of OMOLEGBON ODUSOLA & CO. in 2012, and after three (3) months of exhaustive albeit short experience, I had a stinct with the Ondo State Judiciary where I served as Senior Registrar 2.
By sheer diligence, amiable love and affection from my boss, Hon. Justice Bamidele Folarinle Adeyeye (REBUTU) and through God’s enabling grace, I rose through the ranks to the position of Senior Registrar 1.
After over six (6) years of meritorious service, I resigned honourably to pursue my unalloyed interest in private legal practice informed ostensibly by my relentless drive to mingle with the very best at the bar in the sterling Okitipupa Bar.
Upon my return to Okitipupa, the law firm of OMOLEGBON ODUSOLA & CO., from where I cut my teeth, was readily available to complete the good works it started in me.
As a proof of my diligence and dedication to any given task, I am currently the Head of Chambers of OMOLEGBON ODUSOLA & CO.
Indeed, I consider it a rare privilege to share with you my manifestoes for the office of the SECRETARY of the Okitipupa Bar in the forthcoming NBA Election scheduled to hold on Friday, the 4th day of September, 2020.
Importantly, my plan is to garner experience and support to rejig the Okitipupa Bar Secretariat into a more responsive, more effective, more robust, more vibrant arbiter and to diligently bring it at par with the other contemporary bars of note.
Again, I intend to advance and consolidate on the positive legacies of the outgoing administration, which I think deserves some more accolades.
Beyond the recording of minutes as encapsulated in the NBA constitution, I intend to work tirelessly to digitalize our activities at the Secretariat. For sure, as a single impenetrable unit, Okitipupa Bar is a delicate meshwork of the very best, with a type of peculiarity not discernible to ‘outsiders’.
I will work with each distinguished member of the Okitipupa Bar to deepen neighbourliness and cement our pride of place in not only Ondo State, but also Federal Republic of Nigeria.
May I confidently tell you learned silks, seniors and colleagues, I am in the borderline of the old and the young.
Being sired from the learned hands of my late father, Chief (Barr.) E. E. Odusola and the revered Hon. Justice Bamidele Folarinle Adeyeye, has given me so much insight into the ways of the old. My foray into legal practice in the age gives me an edge in harnessing the strength and agility of the young.
Dear Distinguished Learned Silks, Amiable Seniors and Noble Colleagues, I NEED YOU TO MAKE MY ASPIRATION A REALITY
Once again, my name is OMOTOLA O. ODUSOLA. The people are the ink in my pen.
