The Chief Imam of Ipele in Owo local government area of Ondo state, Alhaji Abdusalaam Zakariyah is dead.
He died on Sunday and had since been buried in line with Islamic tenets.
Alhaji Zakariyah adjudged the oldest Imam in the state spent about 60 years in office.
Confirming the news of his demise to The Precision NG in Akure, Dr Olaniyan Raman Abubakri, the spokesperson of Ipele Development Association said the Imam will be greatly missed by everyone in the town.
