The convener of IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS Chief Dr. Alex Ajipe has called on #EndSARS protesters to end the protests and to give the government time to implement their demands in other to avoid collateral damages.
Chief Ajipe noted that the protest which started peacefully have been hijacked by hoodlums and it has turned all state in the south west to war zone.
While making the appeal to the Nigerian youth to call off the protest, Ajipe said that since the Federal Government has heard and accepted the issues raised by the protesters, the time has come for the protests to stop as government needs time to implement their demands.
According to him, the protests have yielded the desired results with the government accepting their genuine demands and working to address all of them before some hoodlums hijacked the whole things.
“since the issues raised by the protesters have been accepted by the government, the time has come for the protests to stop because the government needs to have time to implement the demands of the protesters.’’
” you can see what has happened in the last two days now in Lagos, Abuja and other states in the South West where properties worth billions of naira destroyed”.
” Continuation in this form will activate self help mode which can cause this generation collateral damage. many life has been lost to this protest, we can’t continue like this because nothing can be achieved in an atmosphere devoid of peace”. Ajipe said.
Ajipe who is also the MD/CEO of Klick Konnect Networks also condemns in very strong terms, the killing of peaceful protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos as well as other parts of our country.
Ajipe said it is shocking to see security agents killing unarmed youths who are protesting for their right.
“Those responsible for the heinous murder of this innocent and unarmed Nigerians must account for their nefarious acts. I don’t know why military men will be asked to kill this young promising youth who are having peaceful protest against police brutality. Its saddens my heart to see our youth been murdered in such manner”.
He therefore called on all relevant institutions to come to the round table in order to fashion out an enduring solution to human rights violation by police in the country and also brought the perpetrators of lekki killings to book.
