The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Ondo State Chapter, has felicitated with the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN on his re-election.
Ishola Lamidi and Sunday Omosule, Chairman and Secretary of the PR body in a statement on Wednesday noted that the Governor’s profound victory is a credence to his giant strides in the various fronts of governance, whichsoever have pleasantly impacted on the people of the Sunshine State.
“We urge Governor Akeredolu to be humble and magnanimous in victory while extending hands of fellowship to other co-contestants in moving the state to an enviable level.
“The lnstitute commends the lndependent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for ensuring transparency in the conduct of the election and the security operatives for their professional conducts which doused pre-election tension and frustrated the antics of purveyors of electoral violence in the State.
“In the same vein, we commend the electorates across the state for their peaceful conducts in exercising their franchise even under some very challenging conditions.
“While we do appreciate the fact that attaining worthy heights as a state is a process, it is also our considered opinion that there is so much more to do in order to improve the well-being of the people of the Sunshine State, and we therefore charge the governor, to endeavor to make life better and brighter for the citizens in his second term so as to justify the loud confidence reposed upon him at the polls.
“We congratulate you once again, Mr Governor as we wish you another term of productive administration both in sound mental state and good physical condition.”
