The Chairman of Ifedore local government area of Ondo state, Engr Alex Akin Oladimeji says allegation of an attack on members of the PDP in Ijare town leveled against him is mischievous.
Oladimeji stated this during a telephone chat with The Precision NG in Akure, the state capital.
The PDP had in a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Kennedy Peretei alleged that Mr Oladimeji led members of its party – the APC to attack the opposition PDP after the Saturday, October 10, 2020 election.
But the council boss debunked the allegation saying that it was the PDP that attacked him on election day which he said was widely reported in the media.
“There was actually a fight between the two parties a day to the election. On the election day, I was attacked by the PDP and it was widely reported in the mainstream media.
“I would never be part to any form of violence against anyone,” Oladimeji said.
He advised the PDP to always toe the path of honour by verifying information before running to the press.
Oladimeji added that the people of Ijare community where he hailed from are one and that political differences can’t lead to enmity among them.
