The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Ondo state chapter, has welcomed the appointment of ace broadcaster, Adeolu Gboyega as the new General Manager and Chief Operations Officer of Crest 87.7 FM Akure.
In a statement jointly signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Ishola Lamidi and Sunday Omosule, the PR body said it received with great pleasure the appointment of Mr Gboyega who until now was the Director of Programmes of the station.
The statement reads:
“Certainly your appointment did not come to us as a surprise,as it had long been foretold by your professional colleagues, and, we are indeed excited that it has finally come to pass at God’s own time.
“Your choice is not only a round peg in a round hole going by your pedigree as a vivacious, energetic and a core professional, but also could not have come at a better time than now.
“We have implicit confidence in your ability to reposition the station for a better performance.
“On this note, the institute congratulates you on your well merited appointment.
“While we pledge our continuous support for you, we look forward to a productive partnership with your station in your drive to take it to an enviable height,” the statement read.
