The Organized Labour and the Ondo state government have reached agreements on the mode of payment of arrears of salaries and deductions.
The move is to avert the looming industrial strike in the state public service.
The two parties reached the agreements at Monday’s meeting held for several hours.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Labour leaders and the state government led by the Head of Service, Dare Aragbaiye.
The organised Labour led by the NLC Chairman, Comrade Sunday Adeleye-Oluwole; JNC Chairman, Niyi Fabunmi and the TUC Chairman, Helen Odofin, said the government had agreed to some of the demands of the workers.
The Labour leaders said Worker’s Parliament was in furtherance to the meeting held between the Organised Labour and the state Government.
According to Labour, all workers in the public service of Ondo State are invited to the general meeting scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday 24th November, 2020 at the Senior Staff Club Auditorium, Alagbaka Akure at 9:00am.
The meeting will enable the Labour leaders to brief their members of the agreements reached with the state government
