The World Health Organisation (WHO) says its Director General, Tedros Ghebreyesus is not positive for Coronavirus.
The Precision NG had earlier reported that Mr Tedros only had a contact with someone who recently tested for the virus. But some sections of the media are reporting that he contracted the virus already.
This the WHO on its Twitter handle on Monday morning dispelled saying such reports are incorrect.
“Contrary to some incorrect reports, @DrTedros hasn’t tested positive for #COVID19. He has been identified as a contact of a person who tested positive. Dr Tedros is feeling well and is in self-quarantine as a precautionary measure, in line with WHO protocols,” it tweeted.
