Non-teaching staff of Ondo state universities are to prepare for a 14 day warning strike, slated for Monday 14th December, 2020.

The strike declared by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Ondo state owned tertiary institutions, became imperative as the government has refused to honor the union’s agitations.

Part of the agitations is on the delay in the release of monthly subvention to the institutions which has caused delay in payment of salary and hardship to their workers

A statement obtained by The Precision NG as released by Comrade Aguda Temitope to AAUA NASU, urged all members to comply as directed by JAC.

“The strike is going to be total and no any form of concession shall be entertained or granted during the strike. Also to be noted is that sitting in the office for any reason shall not be allowed except the security Unit staff and other essential services.

“It is time for us to end hardship in Ondo State Owned Tertiary institutions particularly AAUA.

“It is important to note that this is a struggle for all, and we must not turn to beggars before we end this unpleasant situation.
Let’s cry out together now!,” the statement read.
