Akungba Accident: AAUA Announces New Date For Resumption Of Students

After closure due to the unfortunate accident that claimed the lives of some students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, the school management has now ordered the students to resume.

The students who were on the verge of writing their second semester examination having been at home for 10 months owing to covid-19 pandemic and ASUU strike had been told to go home after the accident.

The university in a circular on Monday signed by Opeoluwa Akinfemiwa, acting registrar of the school, urged the students to resume immediately in order to complete their registration ahead of the exam.

The Precision NG reports that the examination is now billed to start on Wednesday February 24.

“I write to inform the entire students’ populace and the University Community that the Acting Vice Chancellor on behalf of Senate has directed that the 2019/2020 First Semester Examinations earlier postponed would now commence on Wednesday, 24th February, 2021.

“Students are therefore, advised to resume and complete their registration for First Semester 2019/2020 Academic Session before the commencement of the Examinations.

“The time table for the Examinations would be released by Tuesday, 16th February, 2021,” Akinfemiwa said.
