… Deji Of Akure Tasks Fasua On Development
The 2001 set of old students of Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure, has commended the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for appointing its member, Hon. Gbenga Fasua, FGT, as Secretary for Akure South Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement, the Secretary of the club, Samuel Oluwalade, thanked Governor Akeredolu for the confidence he reposed in Hon. Fasua, who is also the Chairman of the group.
Oluwalade said, “On behalf of our set, I want to appreciate Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for finding Hon. Gbenga Fasua, FGT, appointable as Secretary for the state capital’s Local Government Area. As group, we have no doubt in the leadership of Hon. Fasua as he has demonstrated beyond the group over the years.
“We thank Arakunrin Akeredolu for spotting the quality of leadership in him and we are very positive that Fasua would justify the confidence reposed in him, not just by the Governor, but also members of the party and the people of the LGA.”
Meanwhile, Hon. Fasua, while addressing newsmen after the inauguration of the Council Authorities today, affirmed that their inauguration would bring a new lease of life to the LGA.
He said, “Our inauguration today has further justified the desire of Governor Akeredolu to make the people of the state, especially those at the grassroots, experience quality governance.
I want to assure our people that together with my Chairman, Barr. Gbenga Olaniyi, the Vice Chairman, Barr. Stephen Abitogun, the Councillors, and other stakeholders in the Council, administration of the LGA would be fortified.
Hon. Fasua thanked Governor Akeredolu for the appointment, saying it was a confirmation for the Governor’s interest and belief in the youth.
Akure Monarch Tasks Fasua to Bear Laudable Impact
The newly-appointed Secretary for Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. Gbenga Fasua, FGT, has been charged to use his new good offices to add more values to the lives of the people in the council area.
His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Deji of Akure, gave the charge yesterday when the Secretary visited the palace to seek royal blessings.
It will be recalled that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, had on Sunday approved the appointment of secretaries for the 18 Local Government Area of the State as part of the government’s efforts to fortify local government administration in the State, and promote quality service delivery in all the Councils.
The Monarch, who congratulated the Secretary on his new appointment, urged him to discharge his duties dispassionately and make the people happy.
Oba Aladetoyinbo said, “Let me thank Governor Arakunrin Akeredolu for counting you worthy of the appointment. I want to advise you to do your job dispassionately and make meaningful contributions to the lives of the people. When you do well in this assignment, you will be elevated to a greater height.”
Highlights of the visit included prayers for Hon. Fasua. He was accompanied by Hon. Tayo Abidakun, friends and political stalwarts.
