The Ondo State Young Progressives Party’s Governorship Candidate in the 2020 election, Don Dotun Ojon has congratulated the Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on his second term inauguration.
Taiwo Ajayi, media adviser to Dotun Ojon in a statement on Wednesday, said his interaction with the people of the State, has shown that they desire something better than what the APC government offered in its first term but prayed that this second term will not further screw up the already complicated situation.
The YPP candidate is particularly delighted that the governor will have no excuse than to get to work and bail the residents of the State out of the deep poverty his first tenure and that of his Deputy, Bar. Agboola Ajayi has put them.
The Party sympathized with Civil servants and Retirees who ‘faced fire’ during the first tenure of the governor and said this dimension of hardship must not continue.
Dotun Ojon said the LEAP AGENDA of his party has the capacity to aid the people out of the current woes but regretted that the residents were bought over and lied to by the machineries of traditional politicians during the election.
He encouraged the people to learn from the current situation and give room for new ideas and ideals during electioneering.
