Updated: After Public Outcry, Tinubu Amends Date On APC Revalidation Form

Following public criticism of the date he wrote during the weekend’s APC revalidation exercise, ex Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu has now amended the date.

Tinubu had on Saturday last week during a ceremonial exercise in Ikeja, Lagos state dated his form February 9, 2021, instead of the February 6.

The development led to a section of the public criticizing him for the error.

Some of his loyalists however said the date was postdated to reflect the day the official exercise would commence which is February 9.

Confirming the correction of the date by Tinubu, the APC on his verified Twitter handle posted thus:

“UPDATE: On the concerns raised by the public on the date on the APC registration slip of our National Leader, @AsiwajuTinubu, The error has been corrected and signed by his Ward Chairman with the date of registration as 6th February 2021.”

The Precision NG reports that Tinubu and other party leaders like Bisi Akande and Adams Oshiomhole have criticized the revalidation exercise as a waste of time.
