Governing Council of the Lagos State University (LASU) has approved the promotion of 23 staff as professors and associate professors.
The breakdown of the promotion exercise indicated that 11 were promoted to the status of a professor while 12 to the level of an associate professor.
Other academic and non-academic staff were also affected in the exercise.
A statement by coordinator of Centre for Information, Press and PubliC Relations, Ademola Adekoya said the council, during its 125th statutory meeting on February 18, considered and approved the promotion.
“Those promoted include 41 academic staff, consisting of 11 professors, 12 associate professors and 18 others.
“Others are 266 non-academic staff, consisting of two deputy registrars and two deputy bursars,” the statement read.
