The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Klick Konnect Networks Int, Chief Alex Ajipe has promised to partner with Ondo State Football Association to improve sports development in the state.
Ajipe made this known on Monday during the first ever football debate organised by the Sport Writer Association of Nigeria Ondo State Chapter for all the candidates contesting for the Chairmanship position of the Ondo FA held at NUJ Press Center Adegbemile Akure.
According to him, football is a big business and government must be ready to invest in it because it will reduce unemployment rate in the country.
“Am happy to be here and as a lover of sport, I am ready to partner with Ondo State football association to develop sports activities in our state. We need to invest in sport to reduced unemployment rates and also to get more talented athletes” .
“Just as we have started looking for ways of diversifying the economy, we must begin to look beyond the public sector in trying to reach sports needs and create better impact in sports development. We must involve the private sector for the ownership of clubs and sponsorship of various sporting activities and individuals so that we are able to sustain the level of development we want for the future”.
“Klick Konnect Networks is ready to partner with Ondo State Sports Council to develop sporting activities in this state, we have done it in the past, we facilitated the rehabilitation of the Ondo State Table Tennis Court at the Ondo State Sports Complex and also sponsor governorship cup at the local level to improve sporting activities in the state. We are eager to do more and we will partner with whoever win this election “Ajipe said
He advised the participants to vote wisely to elect someone with vision, team leader and capable to lead the agency forward.
