Extra: As Ramadan Beckons, Muslims Enjoined To Attend ‘Tafsirul Quran’ At Old Akure Central Mosque

Tafsirul Quran – the explanation of the Muslims holy book, is one of the activities during the month of Ramadan.

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Muslims’ 12 months in a year and it is observed as fasting.

The start of this year’s fasting according to the sighting of the new moon will take off on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

One of the mosques in Akure, the Ondo state capital that would be playing host to Tafsirul Quran, is the old central mosque, beside cash old filling station.

The session would be anchored by an Islamic scholar, Sheikh Musa AbdurRauf.

Sheikh AbdurRauf, a product of the Islamic University of Madina in a statement made available to The Precision NG, said the Tafsirul Quran sessions would commence from the first day of fasting.

According to him, the session kicks off at 4pm everyday and would run throughout the 29 or 30 days of fasting.

Meanwhile, the Tafsirul Quran session at Tajul Adab mosque in Owo under the guidance of Sheikh Yunus Anola will hold by 2pm everyday.

Muslims are enjoined to maximise the period of Ramadan to develop their spiritual life by involving in charity, night prayers and Quran recitation.
