The much awaited cultural event, ìpàtẹ Aṣa has been shifted due to logistics and other contingencies.
The Chairman of the Steering committee, Mr Tope Akin Adeleye, Director of Public Relations And Communications of the Ondo State Ministry Of Culture and Tourism made this known at a press conference in Akure the Ondo State capital.
The President of the Yoruba Heritage Group, Omo’ba Segun Adesemoye also confirmed the new date to newsmen. He regretted the new shift expressing that all is set for the event except some few logistics issues.
The director of Media and Publicity, Ìpàtẹ Àṣà 2021, Yomi Adebayo Gbenga also expressed confidence that the shift is to ensure that the event is very successful
The committee apologises to sponsors, partners, participants and other stakeholders saying that the action is in the best interest of all.
Ìpàtẹ Aṣa is an event organised by the Yoruba Heritage Group in partnership with the Ondo State Government through the ministry of culture and tourism development and it was designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of the Yorùbá people.
The components of the event include exhibition of cultural arts, crafts and traditions of the Yoruba nation, a beauty pageant tagged Omidan Àṣà, a lecture and awards to rewards selfless service and contributions to community development.
The event will now hold on the 25 & 26 of May 2021 at the Ondo State Cultural Centre, Adegbemile, Akure.
