Ex deputy governor of Oyo state, Taofeek Arapaja has emerged the chairman of the PDP in southwest.
Arapaja polled 343 votes to emerge the winner ahead of Eddy Olafeso who polled 330 votes in the just concluded congress held at Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
Meanwhile, Dr Olafeso has accepted defeat and congratuled the winner. He promised to work for the interest of the party.
