Liad Tella Named Chairman Of Council Of Newly Floated Federal College Of Education Iwo

Veteran Journalist and Academic, Alhaji Liad Tella has been named the pioneer chairman of council of the newly established Federal College of Education, Iwo, Osun state, The Precision NG has learnt.

His appointment and others were contained in a statement obtained by our correspondent on the official Facebook page of the institution.

Tella, who hails from Iwo, had a stint as a senior research fellow at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Ilorin before his new appointment.

As a journalist, he worked with the defunct National Concord newspaper of late MKO Abiola.

Tella was appointed alongside Hon. Auwal Hasan, Amina Tagwai Aji and Dr Sunday Agholor who are members.

Meanwhile, Professor Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo has been appointed the pioneer Provost of the institution.

Adebayo until his appointment is a professor at the University of Ilorin.

Other principal staff of the college announced by President Muhammadu Buhari are, Mugisu Yusuf, Registrar; Fatai Lasisi, Bursar; and Deborah Iyande, Librarian.
