NANNM Mourns Death Of Ex Principal, Ondo School of Midwifery

A former Principal of the Ondo state School of Midwifery, Akure, Mrs F.C.B. Onifade, is dead.

Mrs Onifade died on Tuesday at 89.

Reacting to the death, the Ondo State Chapter of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) described late Mrs Onifade as a legendary midwive who had trained many health officials.

In the condolence message signed by the Chairman of the Association, Comrade Kehinde Olomiye, NANNM, said the deceased who died at the age of 89year-old lived an impactful life.

Olomiye noted that staff and old students of the Ondo state School of Midwifery, Akure as well as health workers and the people of the state would not forget in a quickly the huge contributions of late Mrs Onifade to the formal training of manpower for the health sector especially midwives.

“We received the demise of Mrs Onifade with mixed feelings of happiness and sadness as she lived a fulfilling life and served the humanity diligently,” Olomiye said.
