Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, has died.
Also known as the Duke of Edinburg, Prince Philip who had been sick for a while now, died at age 99.
A statement from Buckingham Palace read:
“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, flags at Buckingham Palace and Downing Street have been lowered to half-mast after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh
