The proposed workshop and conference of Association of Nigeria Universities Alumni (ANUA) scheduled to hold from 7th to 11th April, 2021 has been postponed
According to ANUA chairman, Dr Stephen Olawale Fashakin, the programme was postponed till after the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Fashakin noted that the said date was fixed without considering the fasting period to fall on 12th April, 2021.
The postponement was contained in a statement issued by ANUA Secretary, Alhaji Muhammed Sani Wada,
“In view of the situation , the University management has advised that the event should be postponed.
“Going by the meeting held today between the Unilorin Alumni ExCo, LOC and the University management, the ANUA exco should meet to make arrangements for new date for the event.
“We assure you that the University Management and the Alumni of University of Ilorin are ready to receive us in due course. By this notice all arrangements are hereby put on hold till a new date is fixed,” the statement read.
The association however regretted the inconvenience the postponement would have cost the participants.
