The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ondo State Chapter has congratulated Engr. Seyi Makinde on the second year anniversary of his remarkable achievements as Governor of Oyo State.
The PDP in a statement at the weekend, signed by the party’s chairman, Hon. Fatai Adams, noted that the last two years, as seen Makinde, raising the bar of leadership and governance in the country.
“You have proven to be a worthy and exemplary ambassador of our party, hinged on the strength of dividends of democracy delivered to the people of Oyo State. The accolades you have received from your people and around the world testify that, indeed the PDP is the only hope for our country Nigeria,” Adams said.
The PDP assured the Oyo state governor, that the party, its candidate in the 2020 governorship election in Ondo state, Eyitayo Jegede, and other party members are solidly behind him.
It added that the party would always appreciate his support during the last election and the state congress.
“On behalf of the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate for Ondo 2020, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, the State Executive Committee, leaders and all members of our party in Ondo State, we rejoice and celebrate with you on this auspicious occasion.
“It is on record that, you stood with us all through the Ward and Local Government Congresses, as well as the State Congress that ushered in the present State Executive Committee. Your efforts and support during the Governorship Elections earned you our appreciation and honour at all times.
“We join our party supporters in Oyo State and indeed across Nigeria to wish you God’s favour and wisdom as you continue to lead not only Oyo State but the entire Southwest PDP,” the statement said.
