Manchester United on Thursday night defeated As Roma 8 goals to 5 on aggregate to set up a clash with Spanish club, Villarreal in the finals.

United’s first game with the Italian side ended at 6 – 2 in favour of the English side, while tonight’s second leg ended 3 – 2 in favour of Roma.

Villareal on the other side defeated fellow English club Arsenal on a 2 – 1 aggregate score in the two legged game. The first game ended in 2 – 1 in favor of the Spanish club, while the second leg, was a 0 – 0 encounter.

The win means Manchester United would be gunning for their second Europa trophy in 4 years, having lifted it in 2016/2017 season under Jose Mourinho.
