Kemisola Ogunniyi, the lady alleged arrested during the ENDSARS protest, and later gave birth to a baby in prison, is yet to be granted bail.
The Precision NG understands that the naming of the baby comes up on Wednesday.
Kemisola came under spotlight recently after the Nigerian media shifted attention to her plight, having been in prison since last year.
She was two-month pregnant when she was remanded in prison custody alongside three others for allegedly burning some buildings during the ENDSARS protest.
Tope Tomekun, her counsel who wanted her out of prison due to her condition, was however denied bail application on Monday at an Akure High Court.
Justice Omolara Adejumo said she was unaware of the application.
Tomekun however said the bail application would be taken on Tuesday.
“That is not to say that we should allow the naming ceremony to take place in prison. And we are fighting against that seriously.
“We were fighting that Kemisola should not deliver in prison but she eventually delivered in prison. So if we say we don’t want the naming ceremony in the prison custody, it is still part of the agitation to get her released”.
