Female Journalists In Ondo State Begin 2021 NAWOJ Week



The Nigeria Association of Women Journalist (NAWOJ) today Sunday, June 20 kick start its weeklong celebration, with a thanksgiving service at the Agape Christian Ministry, Akure by 9am.

A statement by the Chairman, 2021 NAWOJ Week Committee, Miss Ayoola Fatokun, says the opening ceremony will take place on Monday at the Royal Birds Hotels and Towers, with a training and capacity building for Journalists by 9am.

The statement added that the training and capacity building continues on Tuesday at the same venue.

One of the programmes highlighted for the weeklong celebration, is the empowerment of widows, which would be done to commemorate the International Widows Day on Wednesday at the NUJ press centre by 9am.

On Thursday, there will be dinner and award night at the NUJ press centre Alagbaka by 5am while a Jumat Service at the Central Mosque by 1pm on Friday will be held to round up the weeklong activities.
