Citing the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence, the Government has also directed the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to immediately commence the process of licensing all OTT and social media operations in Nigeria.

The Precision NG reports that the Nigerian government had on Wednesday, June 2, expressed dissatisfaction about the platform’s operation in Nigeria, after it deleted a Tweet of President Buhari, wherein he threatened to deal with some Nigerians in the ‘language they understand.’
