Three suspects were on Wednesday paraded by officers of Ondo State Security outfit, Amotekun, for offences ranging from kidnapping, robbery, and attempted murder.

Parading them in Akure, the state capital, the Amotekun commander, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed that 37-year-old Usman Garba, a native of Niger State, was involved in Kidnapping which was later foiled by officers of his command, while others are still at large.

He added that 24-year-old Olanrewaju Olaleye from Okitipupa was arrested for armed robbery and that some dangerous weapons were recovered from him; while the third person, Lawal Haruna was arrested for attempted murder.

“We arrested three suspects including one kidnapper who had confessed to be member of a gang, even though we are still working on other gang members we feel that at this point we can take them to court and allow prosecution to commence”, he said.

The alleged kidnapping perpetrator who confessed his involvement in two kidnappings, explained that he was co-opted to kidnapping by sponsors he claimed not to know, noting that the last operation which led to his arrest was to earn him 400,000 as his sponsors were billed to receive 4 million ransom, while he got 30,000 from first operation.
