The wife of Ondo state Governor, Betty Akeredolu, on Wednesday has presented prizes to the winners of BTO mathematics Quiz Competition in Akure, the state capital.
The competition which was sponsored by Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal constituency at the green chamber, was organized for Secondary school students in to help “reintroduce competitiveness among students” in the constituency.
The competition was held at Victory College Ikare Akoko, with over 142 students in attendance
However, winners were awarded by the first at the international event center (Dome) on Wednesday.
Akerejola Emeduduna,
Akinwande Oluwatomisin, and Emmanuel Goodluck all from Greater Tomorrow College Arigidi Akoko emerged as the Winner, first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.
In the same vein, Oladele Victor of Victory College Ikare Akoko emerged the best student from a government-owned school.
While presenting the gift awards, Mrs Akeredolu congratulated the students and commended Tunji-Ojo for his dedication to quality education in the constituency.
Recall that Tunji-Ojo recently gave out 1000 free UTME forms to students in the constituency after several interventions in the education sector under two years in office.
Tunji-Ojo noted that the major drive for these interventions is to ensure no child is deprived the opportunity of getting educated at the basic and higher level.
According to him, ” Their education and empowerment is highly paramount to me and this has continued to influence many of our projects and initiatives much of which you can all bear witness to.
“I will never stop in doing this as I am more motivated and inspired to contribute my quota to the development of our younger generation because our future rest on how well we invest in them.”
