The appeal court sitting in Akure, the Ondo state capital will on Wednesday, June 16 delivered the judgment in the appeal brought before it by candidate of the PDP, in the October 10, 2020 governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede.
Jegede had approached to court after the election tribunal dismissed his case on lack of merit.
The Precision NG also gathered that the court will rule of the cross-appeal case brought before it by the state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu; his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa; APC and INEC.
The court had last week through a Zoom session heard all the appeals by the appellant and defenders, while reserving judgment in the case to a later date.
Counsel who are party to the case however told The Precision NG that the judgment would be delivered this Wednesday.
It is unclear if the session will be done via Zoom application, since judiciary workers have now resumed from industrial action.
The five-man panel is led by Justice Theresa Ngolika Orji-Abadua.
