Twitter on Friday confirmed it has opened talks with the Nigerian government following its suspension from the nation’s social media space a week ago.
The platform made this known via its public policy handle @policy, stating that “we are ready to meet for an open discussion to address mutual concerns and see the service restored.”
Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s information minister had on Wednesday after the executive council meeting disclosed that Twitter has contacted the government.
