Governor of Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and other dignitaries will today Saturday, July 3 honour the late health commissioner of the state, Dr Wahab Adegbenro who died last year.
Adegbenro until his death was also the founder of Crown Hospital in Akure, the state capital.
He died at age 65.
A statement signed on behalf of the family by Dr Omololu Adegbenro, disclosed that the memorial lecture would be held at the Law Faculty Auditorium, Elizade University Ilara-Mokin at 11am.
Adegbenro added that the public lecture would be delivered by the Chief Imam of the Governor’s House, Alhaji Yunus Anola.
“In commemoration of his one year remembrance of a life of service to humanity he lived, the public is hereby notified that the family of Adegbenro is organising a (public) lecture in honour of his memory.
“Important Guests expected at the event include the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, State Commissioners, traditional rulers, religious leaders, members of the academia, members of the medical profession and other invited dignitaries,” the statement read.
