The Ondo State Online Media Professionals (OMP) has condemned the gruesome killing of Ace Broadcaster, Olubunmi Afuye and Two others by Robbers who attacked a commercial bank in Ilaramokin on Thursday.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Hakeem Adebumiti and Secretary, Tope Adedeji.
The statement read in part:
“OMP wishes to state that the killing of the innocent Nigerians was an act taken too far by the Robbers.
“No doubt, the personality of Olubunmi Afuye who was killed in the unfortunate incident would be greatly missed by his family and friends.
“OMP therefore urges the Nigerian Police to fish out the perpetrators of this dastardly act.”
The Association appealed to the Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to provide support to the Police Force in the State.
“Though security is on the exclusive list, the Association wish to appeal to the State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to do more in assisting the security agencies in the state, most especially, the Nigerian Police with logistics support like Patrol Vans and Armoured Personnel Carrier.
“Finally, OMP prayed God to give the family, his aged mother and friends, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
