Sallah: Ani Felicitates Muslim Corps Members

The NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs Victoria Nnenna Ani has charged the Muslim corps members to preach love to one another and unity of the country during this year Eid-el-Kabir (Ileya) festival.

The State Coordinator made the charge in a Sallah message personally sent to all corps members especially the Muslim faithfuls serving in Ondo State.

According to the message made available to media organisations both within and outside the Sunshine State, Mrs. Ani felicitated with the Muslim corps members and indeed all corps members serving in the Sunshine State and the nation at large.

The NYSC Ondo State boss said that by preaching the tenets of Prophet Mohammed (SAW), individuals will be elevated in their sub consciousness to live ‘peacefully and harmoniously with our fellow human beings and extend our hands of fellowship and generous hearts of giving to them during this festive season and always’.

She admonished the corps members to let moderation be their watchword during the celebration and take cognisance of the new Delta variant of the COVID -19 which has been discovered in few states of the country.

“Do not lower your guards but vigorously intensify all efforts to ensure that all protocols put in place by the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID -19 and the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) are strictly adhered to as you freely mingle with people during this celebration period”.

The NYSC Coordinator in the Sunshine State appealed to members of the service corps to stay in their various communities where they were posted to serve and observe Sallah rather than embarking on journey which she described as not economical.

“Our roads are bad and the highways are full of people with criminal intentions who are out to take advantage of security challenge to perpetrate various and unimaginable heinous acts against humanity”.

The NYSC Ondo State Chief Executive Officer reiterated the commitment of the Scheme to live up to her ultimate responsibility of providing adequate security for members of the service corps with a caveat that they would remain law abiding and patriotic citizens of Nigeria.

While wishing them a joyous celebrations, she tasked them to remain good ambassadors of the Scheme and that of their respective families.
