As the Supreme Court takes the prayer brought before it by candidate of the PDP in the October, 2020 Governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede in Abuja today Wednesday, July 28, The Precision NG brings to you the few things that happened in the last 2 hours:

  1. The Court session is under a Seven-Member Supreme Court Justices led by a Chairman, Justice Mary Odili.

2. Dr Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN leader of PDP/Eyitayo legal team while adopting his written address asked the Supreme Court to determine if impunity of constitutional violation should be allowed to stay.

3. Lateef Fagbemi, SAN representing APC in his address urged the Supreme Court to overlook section 183 of the Constitution (it cannot stand alone) because the Yobe State House of Assembly will use the Supreme Court decision to impeach Mai Mala Buni to have breached the Constitution.

4. Akin Olujumi representing Akeredolu/Aiyedatiwa submitted that, Mala Buni was merely carrying out an assignment given to him by his party.

5. The Court had adjourned to reconvene at 12 noon.
