“It is interesting that an AAUA student has won the contest this time around and during my tenure as Dean of Student Affairs. Incidentally, I am from Kiribo, in the Niger Delta area of Ondo State, and you can see how happy I am”

However, he said that he is optimistic that the new Miss NIDSUG will make AAUA proud by promoting morals and good conduct.

Miss Amodu affirmed that she is ready to impact lives and fight for the less privileged by organizing programs that will enlighten and sensitize citizens of the Niger Delta on their values.

“My goal being a positivist is enormous, it is good to be focused and determined in life because we lack resources in this nation and we are facing insecurity, which has triggered me in organizing a lot of programs, most especially for female student.

“In an attempt to know how she’s going to address the issue of oil pollution in Niger Delta, she noted that the issue of oil pollution and vandalization is currently been addressed by the federal government and they are still on it”.

More so, she emphasized giving empowerment to the youths especially the female students.

On youth education, she said, “For the fact that young people do not have access to education does not define them being a failure in life.

“There are a lot of students who even graduated from University that are just certified with a certificate but not qualified,” she said.

According to her, “There are youth who are innovative, creative and can easily build them in the aspect of entrepreneurial, skills acquisition”

“I am going to change a life when am giving the opportunity because a tree can not make a forest”

She further emphasized the need of being supported by the government and nongovernmental organizations sanctions with money to implement all the plans but now my prize is being denied”

Talking about the attitudes of ladies towards abuse, she opined that, ladies of nowadays are naive and that was why most of them fall victim to rape, as a result of being carried away by lies and sweet tongue from men because of money, which they need to be enlightened on.

Reacting to skills acquisition, she stressed the need to build youth up industrially, and teach them some handiwork to be independent.

“When the resources are present I will make sure I look into the educational aspect by soliciting for support so that a lot of female students can be given the privileged to go to school, but if they are ready because I do not walk with failure,” said.

Regarding the issue of water pollution, she said “When you are not there you cannot know what is going on and once I know their plights, I will solve it.

She added that “The Niger Delta water is being polluted but most of this pollution is not being originally caused by the governmental project because we the youths are an adventurist, and contributed a lot, but the government is giving them little but when getting there themselves, they involve in vandalism which caused several menaces.

“We will bring the government near to people because that is the best way to have positive influences on the people, the government must be close to the citizen to know their problems”.

Speaking further, Blessing Omotola Amodu noted that she believes in building people instead of building names or making money.

“When you build people you are building the state because the people are the ones that will influence the policy.

“They contribute either negatively or positively and I will make sure their concern is being heard and politicized.

She added that she believes what is coming is very gigantic and when it arrives people will be glad for chosen her as their queen.

“I believe that in my office with the help of government, there will be a forum specifically based on the bursary

“I will visit the less privileged because I love involving myself in humanitarian service. Some of these people lack knowledge and I will make sure this person is entitled to it.

Revealing her plans, among which are approaching the private universities to help the privileged by giving them admission and sponsor them in their academic pursuit.

She lamented about not being given the prize after the contest as stipulated in the fliers.

“It is so disappointing for not being given my prize because, without it, there are no resources to start my plans. There is no money to do letter heading but currently looking for another means of getting money to do that because I do not want to be a lukewarm leader”.
