The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Chapter, is set to hold its maiden public lecture and award nite in twenty years.
Mr. Bisi Longe, coordinator of the programme, disclosed, in Akure, that the event with the theme: Insecurity: Roles of Society and the Media, would hold tomorrow Thursday, August 18 at the Bliss World Hotels and Suites, Ijapo Estate.
Longe added that Hon. Joseph Akinlaja, who is a national labour leader and a two-term member of the House of Representatives, would be the Guest Speaker while Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu would be the Special Guest of Honour at the event.
According to him, the chapel would confer the title of Royal Patron on Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye, His Imperial Majesty, the Olowo of Owo; while Prof. Joseph Ogen, former provost of the Adeyemi College of Education would be the Chairman of the occasion.
“Other Special Guests expected at the event includes, KlickKonnect CEO, Chief Alex Ajipe and Mr Ajose Kudehinbu, former Head of Service in the state”.
